Joe Carr Visit to Calgary

Calgary Welcomes Joe Carr for a number of events in Calgary

Joe Carr is an anti-oppression activist & performance artist from Kansas City, MO. He’s worked with the Christian Peacemaker Teams & International Solidarity Movement in Palestine and witnessed Israeli soldiers murder international activists Rachel Corrie & Tom Hurndall. He spent May 2005 in Iraq & has just returned from organizing nonviolent resistance in Palestine. More about Joe and his music at www.lovinrevolution.org.

  • Hip Hop of Resistance
    R&B Spoken Word from Solidarity Work in Iraq and Palestine. Joe will be singing and speaking Saturday March 25 at Broken City (613 11th Ave SW, click here for a map & directions) from 6 pm to 9 pm. Cost: $8 at the door Joe's tour is supported by PCSS(Palestinian Calgary Student Society), CanPalnet (Canadian Palestinian Network), and MAC (Muslim Association of Calgary).
