Wear a blue ribbon to speak out against violence and terrorism
everywhere.
COME September...
a commemorative blue ribbon campaign in support of
international law.
On September 11 we commemorate the millions of needless
deaths that have occurred, and continue to occur,
from the cycles of lawless violence in the world.
Deaths in the United States, and in Afghanistan,
Iraq, Sudan, Colombia, and elsewhere are associated
with ongoing violations of the UN Charter and international
humanitarian and human rights law.
We call on all governments, but first upon our own
government, to bring their foreign and internal
policies and their behaviour, into full compliance
with international law.
As citizens we are expected to abide by the law .
We expect no less from our government. This is a
necessary part of honoring and commemorating the
deaths of so many men, women, and children, so that
their deaths will remind us of our responsibility
to end the cycle of violence; so that we do not
desist from the work which this responsibility places
before us.
